DIE is looking for a new
research assistant (f/m/diverse)
to support the research project “Implementing the 2030 Agenda: Integrating Growth, Environment, Equality and Governance” to start as soon as possible, limited until 30.06.2022 (with possibility of extension until 31.12.2022).
The assistant shall realize the following activities:
Data collection, organization and management
Support literature review and case studies desk research
literature database and reference management
Support other activities, e.g. organisation and implementation of expert events, data visualization, preparation of conference presentations
An advanced Master’s degree in progress, preferably in disciplines related to the project (e.g. economics, social science, environmental science, geography).
Strong data collection, organization and management skills;
Software skills: proficient user of MS Excel
Language requirements: proficiency in English, working knowledge of German
Experience in the systematic evaluation (coding) of text data is an advantage
Experience in scientific writing and literature review is an advantage
Knowledge of the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), as well as an understanding of governance and democracy issues in development is an advantage.

the usual pay for research assistants is 12.50 euros (with a bachelor’s degree) per hour
flexible working hours, by arrangement from 36 up to 72 hours per month.
This job offer is exclusively for enrolled students. Applicants must be currently enrolled in a master’s programme at a German University. Candidates who already have a master’s degree are unfortunately not eligible for formal reasons, even if they are enrolled in another master’s programme.
